Jakub Kubica designs furniture and objects that sit between sculpture and utility. His online shop includes chairs made of metal and leather, tables combining natural stone and aluminium, raw metal lighting, and smaller items like lava stone diffusers, vases, or candle holders. His visual language is reduced – but never cold. Clear in its execution, warm in its effect. There’s no decorative flourish, no calculated impact.
Many of his pieces come into being over long periods of time. The stones he works with often remain in his studio for years before they take form. He describes this as a process of observation – waiting for the right function to emerge. The resulting pieces are not forced into shape but built around what already exists.
