I had heard of SAN LÒ even before Milan Design Week, but it wasn’t until the Salone del Mobile that I had the chance to try out the Italian brand’s sofa.
At first glance, the design feels familiar: clean armrests, three back cushions, and a sturdy base. It’s a sofa that needs no explanation. Everything feels natural, nothing seems to be vying for attention.
SAN LÒ was founded in Apulia by sisters Anna and Lucrezia. In collaboration with the design studio Ferriani Sbolgi, they created a sofa where comfort was the starting point, combined with a clear commitment to design and function.
When you sit down, it becomes clear what that means. The height is just right; it’s easy to get back up. The cushions give way without becoming too soft. The seat is deep, but not too deep. The backrests provide comfortable support without being intrusive. It’s not a sofa that swallows you up, but one that carries you.
